My sister in law got married at her childhood home

My sister in law got married at her childhood home yesterday and it was absolutely perfect. 🥹✨

There have been many events in this space over the years, and I can honestly say I’ve never seen the house look this magical. ✨

G+J requested shades of pink and burgundy then gave me creative license with the floral plan and color palette. I’m so so happy with how it all came together (and everything but the 3 varieties of roses, smilax, and delphinium were grown right here in west Michigan)!! 🫶🫶🫶

Packed 2 suitcases full of locally grown spring bl

Packed 2 suitcases full of locally grown spring blooms, hard goods/floral tools, and 1 bunch of roses, and put them in the hands of the baggage handling gods for our flights to the NE.

Could I have sourced locally? Maybe. Mid-May was a bit early for things to really be popping in Maine/NH, wholesalers weren’t conveniently located, and relying on TJ’s and foraging was not going to cut it for 2 elopement bouquets/boutonnières, and 4 additional centerpieces.

I figured flowers are stuffed into boxes and shipped all over the world all the time, surely my 2 short flights would be fine as long as I packed well, and wouldn’t you know, I was right. 🥰
